Default How Can I Transfer 2 Different Contact Lists from Outlook?

Please Login to Remove!

I have 2 contact lists in Outlook. One is called Contacts and the other is called Cell Contacts. The Contacts list syncs perfectly with my BB 8820, but I am unable to transfer my Cell Contacts to the BB (unless I merge the two which I do not want to do).

One solution I thought of was to transfer the second list to the microSD card, but I cannot determine how to do this and still have it available for calls.

I would rather add an Icon to the BB for the second contact list.

Anyone have any ideas?

You can't do that. There's only one Address Book on the BlackBerry. And the device won't read a contact list from the SD card.

What you could do is to transfer them all to the phone and then create a filter in your Address Book so you can select which set you want to look at.

Another solution if you don't want the lists to be merged in Outlook is to copy one of the lists to Outlook Express and sync that with the BlackBerry in addition to syncing your regular Outlook contacts.

Neither of those seem to be viable for me....Can I transfer the Cell Phone contact list directly into a Group within Contacts on my BB?

Nope. Stick them in the same Contacts folder and sort using Categories (you can also sort using Categories in Outlook).

OK---You are right----The best way was to use Categories (Business and Personal)----The BB allows easy filtering on these two categories, and they are easy to set in bulk in Outlook (I have over 1,000 contacts in my business list).

Thanks,
Barry
