Default App World and Data Transfer

Please Login to Remove!

I recently downloaded App World and tried out some of the radio station apps. I'd imagine that the amount of data transferred when running this apps is large. Do service providers (Verizon) frown upon this?

Keep in mind that your "unlimited" data plan is capped at 5Gb.

Is there a way to monitor how much you have used?

I use MiniMonitor. It's not the most precise (it was out by 20MB compared to my last bill,) but that could be the difference in when they calculate my usage, and the programmed date to reset the counter.

I consider myself a medium core user and only clocked 80MB last month. It will be way up this month, but I have 1GB so I'm not worried about it. I can't imagine what streaming radio would do to that total... OK, I can, but that's beside the point.

go to www dot ehnert dot net slash minimoni slash (sorry, I can't post links yet.)

Apps like MiniMoni only work on GSM based devices, not CDMA, AFAIK.

You can call 611 from your BB, or you can login to myverizon online. Myverizon shows how much data you've used in MBs including dates and times.
