Default Basic Wifi Question

Please Login to Remove!

Hi, very new to BB. I am trying to make use of the WIFI on BB and Wifi Hotspots in my office building and airports etc.

Stupid q, but HOW DO I CONNECT? I keep stalling at the Security code input after i have found a Wifi network... How do I get this information?

Thanks in advance.

If the network has security on it then you need the code. If you don't know it, then you're out of luck. You either need to know the code or use open networks with no security.

I have a Wi Fi network at home that is further connected to BSNL(Inidan Telecom company), through a secured user ID and password. My BB is able to connect to the WiFi, however, I do not get any pop up to connect to BSNL. How do I add these security settings to my BB so that I am able to connect to BSNL and browse. The BB service provider has been of no help. In fact, there knowledge seemed so little with what I have already learnt through the BB forum.

I'm a BB newbie too and hope I'm not out of line but I was recently at a hotel that had free WiFi available but you had to get the security code from the front desk to use it. I got the code and still never figured out how to connect. It seems like my BB was asking for more code/password info than they provided?

Wirelessly posted (BB 11020)

Many time you have to do a wifi hotspot login in order to get top the page where you enter the code.
