Default Synchronising on Vista - breaking

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all

I am running Vista SP1 and Desktop Manager v 4.7.0.25. On first sync, it works. Any subsequent sync gives the following error in the Vista event viewer

"Faulting application DesktopMgr.exe, version 4.7.0.25, time stamp 0x48d3f144, faulting module ntdll.dll, version 6.0.6001.18000, time stamp 0x4791a7a6, exception code 0xc0000374, fault offset 0x000b015d, process id 0xa2c, application start time 0x01c9b67ed1d3e830."

I have wiped the device and again, the first sync works and subsequent sync's gives the above error.

Hope someone can help.

Hein

Have you tried disabling UAC User Account Control completely, to see if it syncs more then once.

What version of outlook are you syncing with?

UAC is disabled, was the fisrt thing I did. I will check again to see if it is gone completely. I am using Outlook 2007 SP1. I have three mail accounts set up on my BB. This will therefore have three calendars on the BB but only one on Outlook. Maybe this is the issue.

I checked and UAC is off. I also stopped my Virus software before running Desktop Manager. I noticed that the process successfully runs through contacts and through Outlook Calendar scan. It falls over when it starts reading the device calendar.

It might be possible that one calendar entry has bad data for one reason or another. You might want to scan them - I think agenda view will show all your appts. Or if your Outlook version is up-to-date/correct, you might erase/del all the entries on the BB and resync with Outlook.

Also make sure none of your calendar events have attachments in them.

Default Fixed

I upgraded to Desktop Manager v4.7 and the latest handset version. It is now working. Thank you RIM.
