Question WiFi and CDMA devices

Hey there very new here...... Getting a BB 8130 Pearl tomorrow and want to know if i can surf the web for free if i have a wireless router? or if i find an unsecure wireless conection on the move?

Negative. 8130 does not come with Wi-Fi. The 8120 does.

Bummer......Well Telus only has a few options... the 8330, 8830, and the storm.... do any of these support that? I am looking on the site but they don't say anything about this..... Thanks for the help so far... I just assumed that the 8130 would have this!

Nope. None of those models support WiFi.

Blackberry has several models with WiFi however your carrier doesn't have them apparently. Blame your carrier, not RIM (Blackberry).

Blackberry devices have WiFi as well. Just not the models you listed. The 8120, 8320, 8820, 9000, 8900 all have WiFi.

bloody Telus..... Grrrrrrrrrrrr the B**tards.... oh well I huess I am stuck! well is the 8130 Pearl any good? I am very easy on my cell phones... they don't get banged around too much.

None of the CDMA BlackBerry devices have WiFi.

You would have need to select a different manufacturer or a different carrier that has GSM.
