Default Desktop Manager

I can't get my Vista X64 laptop to connect to my Bold. A connection is paired and established with the phone but in Desktop Manager, it just doesn't find my phone when I "add bluetooth". It now says "Verify that the Bluetooth enabled device is configured for use with the BlackBerry Desktop Software". Any advice?

Are you using the branded bluetooth driver? This may be why. DesktopManager supports only the Windows Bluetooth drivers.

It is a built-in bluetooth adapter that came with my Dell. I just noticed that in my bluetooth options on the Bold that Desktop Connectivity and Wireless Bypass are grayed out and I can't select them. The KB article says that these are required. How do I enable them.
