Outlook labels
 

does anyone know if there are settings in the blakberry descktop manager for labels? whenever i sync my blackberry with outlook, it removes all of the labels from my outlook program.

What labels? Do you mean categories?

When I make an appointment in outlook there is an option for labels. They are categories...vacation, business, must attand...etc. They color code your appointments so it is easy to figure out what is business and what is pleasure. When I sync my phone the labels (colors) are removed from outlook. I understand there is no way to get them on my phone yet, but they are helpful on outlook.

Yep, they won't transfer. No way to make that work.

Categories will sync. Labels won't.

It's not a setting issue. Most likely because BlackBerry didn't "map" out the colors when it transfers over to Outlook.

Hi gang,
New member and struggling BB Curve owner here. This is a near and dear subject. I get synced with categories in Tasks and Contacts just fine between Outlook 2003 and BB Desktop Manager. But categories do NOT sync from Outlook CALENDAR to BB Curve Appointments!!
I'm running Outlook 2003, Blackberry Desktop Manager 4.70.32 (Nov 4, 2008) on a BB Curve 8310.
When I go into 'Sync Config' in BDM, choose calendar 2-way sync, go to 'Advanced' menu, and then choose 'Map Fields', there is no equivalent device field to map to Outlook categories! I am at a loss. HEEELLLPPP!!!
