I have a BB 8703e and use multiple email addresses (business, personal, etc.). The problem is when creating a calendar appointment on the device and inviting attendees, the email they receive with the invite comes from my personal email address. I only send calendar invites from a business perspective and need to have them from that email addy.

I've gone to the Options icon and yes my default email acct is my business address, but the invitations still come from my personal acct.

Any help would be appreciated.

As a work around, go to Options, Advanced Options, Service book, and find the email address that has [CICAL] next to it. Delete that service book. Leave the [CMIME] books intact. And leave the [CICAL] for your work email address intact (if applicable -- you don't mention being on BES, so I don't know if there would be one or not).

Any time you send service books to your BB, you will have to go find the [CICAL] service book for your personal address and delete it.

That should force your calendar invites to always come from your work email address. Let us know how it works out.

When you're creating a new calander entry, at the top of the new appointment screen, it says "send using".

Make sure you select the corrent account as you will have a different calander for each mail account you have on your BlackBerry.

Is that a BES thing? I don't have the option of "Send Using". Or, perhaps that only comes up with multiple calendars (which I don't have since I deleted all the service books except for one).

Aha, answered my own question after posting that reply. If I have multiple calendars (I just undeleted my last CICAL service book), the option that skyman84 mentions appears, but does not show if you only have one CICAL service book.

So... to the OP, if you REALLY will never use your personal email to send calendar invites, delete the CICAL service book as I mentioned. If you are going to POSSIBLY send invites from your personal email, keep the service book but select which account you want the appointment to be sent from.

You can always undelete the LAST service book that you deleted, and so if this is the only service book you have or will delete, you have a backup. Well, that plus you can always resend service books on BIS anyways too.

Thanks. The work around did the trick. I deleted the CICAL for the other email addresses and the invite came from my business addy. I use blackberry internet since my company does not have a BES. I looked initially for the "send using" but it doesn't give me that option in the calendar appt., only when I create an email do I get that option.
