Default Easiest way to get push email from exchange

Please Login to Remove!

I just got a BB 8900. My work email is Exchange 03 without BES and I want true push email. What are my best options? I have tried the desktop redirector, but I am not a big fan of it. I keep getting emails from: [email address]. Is there any other solution?

The easiest way is a BES. The next easiest method is with the BIS service from your provider.

Wirelessly posted (Its All About the U!)

From BIS, it may work best if you can access the company's Outlook Web Access acct if it exists.

Most of us aren't. It's extremely unreliable in my experience and having to rely on a desktop PC is just asking for trouble.

Do you have access to your e-mail through web mail? If so, you should be able to set it up to push to the 8900. Mine works that way.

I do have access though the web, but is it the same as the pop3? I am looking for a push email solution not a 15min wait.

All BB email is push whether there's a delay or not. The delay comes into effect when BIS has to poll your email account for mail. I don't recall if OWA is instant or not. If you need the fastest push option then you have to go with BES.

The 2nd best option is OWA, followed by POP or IMAP.

Sounds like you installed it with enterprise option and thats why you get those messages. Uninstall it and choose the other option.

OWA is not instant. It's the same as other POP emails.

I set up my work account through my BB Accounts page; just chose the web mail option. As long as you know the correct address, log in information, mailbox name, etc. it works just fine.
