Exclamation How to use e-mail via GPRS without "push"?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

I am from Poland where I cannot use push technology. Is there any chance to configure my BlackBerry 7730 to browse the internet or to download my e-mails via pop3 or smtp? I tried to ask about it my GSM provider but they didn't know... Any feedback would be much appreciated.

p.s I've got access to gprs and everything else but there is no "push". Pls help me...

Thank you,
Jacob

I think you have to manually log into your webmail accounts to get your emails id BB service is not available in your country.

Without a BlackBerry Data Plan, you have no access to the Internet or E-mail. Even with a gprs plan. Sorry.

NJBB is right, you need the service books to access Internet/WAP anf if no BB service is available then you are barred from the web even with GPRS, which in this case is gprs with no data function enabled.
Sorry.

If you have EraGSM card , you can use BB for about 50 PLN (only for BB plan) without any limit of data

Thanks guys for your prompt feedback. Unfortunately "gprs" is all what I have and there is no chance to have "GPRS". I do believe that my GSM provider will be able to implement full functionality of BB very soon because I don't want to use it as a normal phone...

Cheers,
Jacob

Hi Skrzat,

I have Plus GSM card and as far as I know this provider is the only one in Poland where you cannot use BB but it's quite interesting what you are writing about because I thought that Era have BB for business purposes only... Is that true or I can use it with private sim card as well?

Best,
J.

You may have web acces and GPRS with a data capable phone but not with a Blackberry without a data or email service plan; you need the service books from the service provider to enable the web/wap browser on the unit.
