Unhappy receiving text messages from at least 2 years back!

Please Login to Remove!

I got the new blackberry 8110 about 4 months ago, prior to my blackberry, i had a nokia.

i've had a contract with vodacom for the last 3 years, so my number has remained...i simply transferred this sim card from my nokia to my blackberry.
messages from 2 years ago are now coming through my blackberry each and every time that my battery dies, or i switch my phone off...the EXACT thread of messages comes through my blackberry. these messages are from 2 years ago...from my previous relationship.

this is causing major complications for me, as you may imagine! i really need to get to the bottom of this!

Basiaclly, the BlackBerry is copying the text messages from your SIM card over to the BlackBerry and attaches the date of which it transfered these messages to them.

It's something that the BlackBerry does, my advice is to just delete the messages from the BlackBerry and the SIM and you won't have any issues.

I'd recommend making sure they're deleted off the SIM and that the BB is then set to use device memory for SMS.
