Default Volume on 7105t

My partners and I are road-testing a 7105t (courtesy of T-Mobil). An immediate concern is that, when listening to telephone conversations using the built-in earpiece, the volume is painfully low, even with the setting at high. Does anyone else have this concern? Is there a tweak I am unaware of? In comparison, the Nextel phone we have been using hitherto, sounds like a fog-horn!

Unless a fix is found, this could be deal-breaker. Pity, since the other features on the BB are a very welcome addition!

It's me again, about the volume. Ahem....... Found the tweak. Removed the protective film which was also covering the earpiece. Sounds like a fog-horn now!

I have the 7105T and the volume is very low--and mine did not come with any film over the speaker, only over the display. I can't hear to use it on the train and that is really a problem. Any one know of a fix?
