Default Can I set the clock to stay on through the night? - 04-19-2009, 10:50 AM

Hello,

I've got a BB storm and would like to use it as a bedside clock. The problem I have is that the display will turn off after a while. When I tap the screen to wake it back up it I don't get the clock, I get the unlock prompt.

I have tried it in bedside mode and non-bedside mode. Both will turn off the display. I have set the clock options to not dim when in bedside mode.

Any other options that I can change so that I can have the time always there when I roll over at 3:00am? Any apps that will change this? Could I have to set the display settings to not dim?

Thanks in advance

Steve

The only way to achieve this is to have it connected to AC power. Under the clock options, set "when charging" to "enter bedside mode" and it will staying at the clock all night. I no longer use an alarm clock.

Default Bedside Mode & Clock with OS 5.0 - 11-07-2009, 11:30 PM

Is anyone else having a problem using Bedside Mode on OS 5.0?

I never used Bedside mode before upgrading to OS 5.0. But I have noticed that since I upgraded to 5.0, my Storm seems to come "up" with the Calendar showing, rather than the main screen.

I am now trying to use Bedside Mode. When I plug it in, it says it is going into Bedside Mode, dims the display, and shows the Clock. Exactly what I want it to do! However, sometime during the night (not very soon, perhaps at midnight) , the display of the Clock changes to displaying the Calendar. When I wake up early in the morning and look at my Storm to see what time it is, all I see is my Calendar for the day.

Why is the display of the Clock changing to display the Calendar? Is this a 5.0 "bug"? Is there a way to display the Clock all night?
