To start: I have the BB Pearl (red) with AT&T Service.

I just upgraded the OS since I got an email saying that I needed too... first off, it took hours for whatever reason and now my phone is reeeeeeeeaaalllly slow and I had to re-personalize it all afterwards... really annoying

My problem is, "desktop icons" disappearing... after the upgrade, the MySpace and FB apps were still installed, but had no icons... I decided to just re-download them and now they've appeared... but now I have a bigger problem... the "Options" icon (aka the little wrench) has disappeared... it was there to start with and now it's gone (and not just "hidden" I did "show all" and it's not there)... how can I retrieve this?!?! Obviously I need to access all of the things within options and now I can't get to any of them

Help please!

Shot in the dark here, but have you tried a battery pull?

Should I contact RIM or AT&T about this? Would they even be able to help at all? Is there any other way to access the things that are a part of the "options" icon?

Figured it out!!

Over the weekend, I was showin a pal some of the new things that came with the update, one of which is the "docs to go" option... I opened it to show how I could import my Word docs and there was the wrench! Somehow the options icon got moved into the docs to go folder, so I just moved it back out the the home screen... hopefully this helps anyone else who encounters a similar problem
