just wondering who is developing it? or can one get hold of the source?
the 7290 has 2 light settings... why cant bblight just jump to the brightest?

Here's the answer...only the 7100 has programable backlight settings. On all earlier devices, even though there are 2 levels they are not accessible.

battery issue is probably why BBLight switches the dim light rather than the bright light. . . from there you have the option to take the brightness up a notch.
