Yup, $499 CDN. Carriers do a pretty good job at ripping Canadians off, hence the Rogers Wireless nickname "Robbers Wireless" still very cool as its "Black" making it a true BlackBerry! Nerver really cared for the blue/slate colour of the 6200/7200 series...

Cingular is selling the device for $299 with a 1 or 2 year term. Rogers is selling it for $499 CAD ($420 USD) with a 3 year term?! I'd be pissed off if I was Canadian.

P.S. - I didn't realize the US Dollar was doing so poorly in the world market. The currency conversion used to be about 2:3 or 3:5 and now its almost 1:1.
In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and is widely regarded as a bad move.
