Default Global address book..third party software?

Please Login to Remove!

Is there a 3rd party software available that will enable the Global Address Book downloaded to the handhelds?
Ideally my client would like to able to do this in one go from the BES.
Is that at all possible?

He/she could add everyone to his Outlook address book and just sync.

Curious why they'd really want to do this? He/she must not have a lot of people in their GAB. We have thousands of people in ours, and it changes on a daily basis. The 'Lookup' feature works great to find people in the GAB when you need them.

God knows why he wants to do this.
I did explain to him the reason for this feature not being avaiable is that the GAB is normally quite big and I also told him about the lookup feature but still he'd like to know if this is possible.
Anyway....adding them all to his outlook wouldn't solve it for the rest of the people.
I really don't know why he wants to do this.

I know our people would like to be able to download the thing just so they can browse the list of people like the do with their personal address book. It doesn't help that prior PDAs (Windows Mobile and Palm OS) were able to do this.

Plus you know how people are. They like to "own" things. Personal computers instead of thin clients, laptops, their own personal laser printers, own fax, off line copies of the global catalog. That sort of thing.

I don't think this is an option other than to synch it through Outlook, which would require him (as stated earlier) to add the GAB to his contacts. Not the smartest idea in my opinion.
