Interesingly T-mobile (and I hear other companies also do this) gives everyone a certain amout of "forwarding minutes" which are
NOT taken out of your plan. I can't remember the exact amount. But after that, all forwarded calls are charged. Minutes are taken out of your plan when the calls are
made or
answered on the handset. Forwarded calls are taken out of that 'forward' minutes bucket until it's empty.
I had another line that I knew I would never use to call out. So I got the lowest plan (60 minutes) and forwarded all the calls to my main number. So essentially much more than the 60 from the plan for $19.99...
Not sure if this is still the case, I have since given the other phone to my son so I no longer forward it. But it work well when I did it.
