editing numbers on the BB do not synch to Exchange desktop

Changes to contact info (phone numbers) done on the handheld do not synch to the users desktop. Using a 2 node BB domain (4.1.6 rollups current) with E2K7 SP1 rollups current. Anybody with a word of advice or experience the same with a resolution?
