Default Ok so I am lost, Looking for help, suggestions?

Please Login to Remove!

Well my work is asking me to go back to using a bb and I am not sure which one to purchase. We do have a work offered credit so price really is not an issue, but right now tmo only offers the 7290, 7100 and 7105 and with the new 8700 series looking so promising should I be waiting to make my purchase or buy one now and if so which one is recommended? Even though my work does credit some of it I just don't want to buy now and miss out on something.

I am coming from a wm5 device (kjam) and will miss it dearly...but I would like a bb that is a close as possible to its functionality.

Thanks for your help...

I'd buy it now, the 8700 wont come to T-Mobile for a few months at least... Cingular has an exclusive period where only they will be selling it.

Id get the 7290 if you want a full keyboard, 7100 if you dont... the 7105 doesn't add that much to the table (mainly mms support).

As for a BB doing close to the same as a WM5 device, I don't think any will. I love the blackberry and its a fabulous business device; but WM5 has alot more going for it multimedia wize; so if you were used to playing streaming music on the WM5 device you can kiss it goodbye when going to the BB.

Appreciate the answer, never really streamed media too much just did very occasionaly and for the device I never really used it to its full potential nor think I ever will. Mainly I used it for phone, email, txt, im and wap browsing. I think I can live w/o the streaming media since I am usually by a computer.

I do want a full keyboard, don't like the layout personally of the 7100/5.

So since there really isn't a set release from tmo I should be happy with the 7290 for a while is what your saying?

Also can the 7290 receive mms messages as well as txt message? I do remember some models not supporting this in the past. Also is there a general faq link that I can review on this model, searched and can't seem to come up with one yet.

According to google the 7290 supports MMS & Text. I'd just go with the 7290, unless you have im guessing about 3-4 months where you can wait for the 8700; but then again you can't really wait forever, as technology changes so quick.
