I have downloaded BB Weather on to my 7290. What information goes in the "Location ID" and "Description" under profiles? Any Help will be appreciated.

I used my zip code for the location but that still did not work. Any other suggestions?

There are several threads describing differnet problems with configuration for BB Weather on this forum, do a search for it I am sure it is that then. Everyone that encompasses problems at first eventually gets it going. It could be as simple as turning your mds off. Try going into options and putting a check mark on the mds to disable it and then try your zipcode.

I'll try the search. Turning the mds off gave the Error: could not open tunnel - failed.

Default Google SMS

SMS to GOOGL (46645)

Then type:

Weather zip code

Then send

That's not too hard?

Good luck.

As I recall I had to reset my device after I set everything up for BB Weather to get it to work. It's performed flawlessly ever since.

I had problems with mine and it turned out to be a setting on the BES for some certain kind of data service that wasn't enabled for my profile on the BES. After my IT guy enabled it I got "blackberry browser" and my weather programs began to work.

I had a similar problem with bbtoday. My TCP was blank. After I changed it to wap.voicestream.com everything works great. Maybe you have a similar problem...

BES=BlackBerry Exchange Server ussually associated via work or hosted service. If you are using the e-mail account provided to you via your carrier you are probably strictly on BWC or as it is now called BIS.
