Help ?

We've just upgraded to BES 4.0 and Handlheld software 4.0. Before 4.0 we could go into the Configure PIM option to select how many calendar items you want synced (ie. Transfer all Scheduled Items, Transfer only Future Items, and ransfer items within a range of dates.). I use to use the range of dates options, 180 days prior and 180 days into the future.

After we went on BES 4.0, although the option is still selected, why doesn't it wirelessly sync accordingly ? All I see are all current month appointments, all a few weeks of previous month and all recurring appointments (past and present).

Anybodyelse have the same issue or what setting do I need to change ?

Further to the error above, the syncing of recurring appointments is an issue. If you delete or change one instance of a recurring appointment on Outlook, it does not sync to the BB. For example, if I delete one instance of a recurring appointment every Wednesday let's say. Outlook is fine, but the BB will still show the appointment.

I had that issue with the recurring appointments. To be honest I didnt spend alot of time on it. But recurring appointments will add a new one in your bb everytime you reschedule it in outlook. ie if you move a 3 oclock to 4 oclock.. on your bb two appointments will show up one at 3 and one at 4. Try a couple of things. check to see if the recurring appointment has an end date... if it is set to never... then give it a date in the future. test with that. I ended up just wiping the handheld and re activating it. not a big deal and it worked after that. and this was after an upgrade to 4.0

Can somebdoy confirm if the the date range is set at the Enterprise Server Level if you are on 4.0 and no longer at the Intellisync level.

we are now having this issue. We've probably had it for a while actually. I am hoping the Service pack update will fix it, but I am not sure.

Basically, when changing one instance of a recurring appointment in outlook, it doesn't sync to the BB. Sounds like alot of people have this problem.

Yeah the problem still hasn't been solved, but it seems if I wipe out the BB and reload the software and have it go through the Enterpise Activation process, the recurring appointments on the BB will show correctly. HOWEVER, any further recurring appointment changes after that will not reflect properly.

Anybody know how to clear the calendar entries on the BB, without reloading the entire software back on the BB. I am on a BES, and when you go into Backup and Restore (Advanced), the option to "clear" Calendar is greyed out.

Any other way ??

In order to be able to Clear the Calendar from desktop manager *backup/restore* with 4.0, you need first to disable Wiresless Synchronization of this item, in your handheld.For this, Open the calendar, go to Options, set the Wireless Synch to No, and then try again with Desktop Manager.

Is there a way to get the blackberry to push up all calendar entries? right now it seems to only push up recurring events when I wireless sync..
