Default SIM Toolkit Error?

I think I'm on my 6th crackberry this newest being a bold. I got it on on contract from ATT as I spend a lot of time in the US.
I came back to Canada, put a FIDO sim card in the phone (phone is unlocked) and instantly everything worked. So I thought. Then I went to make a phone call.

When I try to make a phone call I get the following error. "Call failed due to SIM toolkit error. Please try again later. SIM: Call Barred"

BB messanger, email, SMS, MMS and incomming calls all work. Just can't make a phone call.

Oddly when I scan for other networks and find the 2G Fido network, I can make a phone call no problem.

I have read all the posts on crackberry and here. No solution has been offered that I haven't tried. Still nothing. Any teckies out there? Remember, everything works perfectly, just can't make a phone call.

got mine fixed.....changed to an older sim card.
