Hi, I have just bought a 8900 Curve and was told by the merchant that I needed to charge the BB for 16 hours or so prior to using.
It has been charging for about 2 hours but now the green light is on which I assume means it is fully charged.
Is this normal?

You don't need to break the battery in, however, it's good practice to charge the device often.

Also, the green light is most likely the coverage indicator.
