Default MS Outlook Calendar and BB

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

My boss schedules my appointments for me everyday in MS Outlook and sends the update to me via email. I will receive the message on my 8330 and select "accept" to update the calendar in my BB. This was working fine until about 3 or 4 days ago. I get all other emails EXCEPT anything that has to do with the Outlook Calendar.

I recently installed YouMail and a SMS Text scheduler on my BB but I wouldn't know why that would conflict with the email on my BB.

I have tried to send Outlook updates from other PC's besides my boss and it will not receive any of them.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Thanks,

Rob Caldwell

It's possible that you have a corrupt service book on your device. Are you on a BES or using BIS?

Wirelessly posted (8820)

If you are connected to an exhange server and doing live real-time email and PIM sync'ing, then you are connected to a BES.

BIS is the "consumer" data plan.

Ok... So I did a complete handheld wipe and updated the service books. That seemed to work and I was receiving calendar entries from MS Outlook again. This morning the problem started up again.

I can no longer receive anything that is generated from MS Outlook Calendar. Please... does anyone have any suggestions for this?

Thanks,

Rob Caldwell

How do you (or did you) receive calendar updates. Via the USB cable? Wireless?

So are you not receiving the emails, or do you receive the email but the appointment is not attached and/or cannot be accepted?

If the appoints come via email, you may want to try Google Calendar sync. Set up a Google calendar which will sync with Outlook and your BB. I use it and it works quite well, other than an occasional dupe.

I receive all other emails, EXCEPT anything generated from MS Outlook Calendar. The email from MS O Calendar contains the appointment that I have to "accept" in order for it to appear in my BB calendar.

My boss wont use Google Calendars. He sets the appointment and then sends it to me. (BTW... this is not a user problem. I can set an appointment myself from any computer and send it to another computer where it is received and accepted in the MS Outlook Calendar. The email with appointment just isn't received on my BB)
