Hi I just got my 2nd BB a 7290 (Last one was 7230) and it all looks great esp. the brighter screen which is a really welcome improvement!!
Anyway I have a problem you see I use the web client along with Gmail filtered forwarding (Learnt from a superb thread on this site cant thank the author enought as it is so fast!)
So I got my new BB (Branded Vodafone UK) and went to http://mobileemail.vodafone.net
to register the handset and get the following message-
The PIN and IMEI you have provided are not recognized.
I double and triple checked the numbers in the software and on the back of the unit and entered the imei number with and without dots but still the same message.
So I called Vodafone and gave them the PIN/IMEI and it didn't come up on their system??? (Although I'm not 100% sure the customer services clerk had a clue what they were doing!!)
Anyone have any ideas?? I called the vendor and their tech guy is out today back tomorrow and so they saaid they'd have to wait for him to get back in before they could deem it faulty and send me another one.

(PS my SIM Card does have Blackberry service APN enables on it and works fine in my 7230 so the prob isn't at the account end)
