Default Is my 7520 a POS or is Nextel my problem

Please Login to Remove!

Hello everyone, long time lurker, first time poster. I have a 7520 with Nextel as my provider, every couple of weeks or so my voice mail screws up. If someone calls my phone it is a crapshoot whether they will get my personal message or the canned number response.

Then other times when I try and call my voicemail from my 7520 sometimes it works, other times it says you must dial the area code but the area code was dialed. Other times the voice mail phone number has changed on my phone all by itself.

If I go to a 8350i will my problems be gone, I am trying to figure out if it is the 7520 that is whacked or maybe Nextel is whacked any help is appreciated. I kind of like my 7520 and dont really want to change but it is starting to get very old.

I'm not too familiar with the whole iDEN thing and nextel....

but I can tell you this: you want to upgrade to the 8350i or whatever their Curve model is...over the 7520???!?!?! the voicemail thing could very well be a carrier specific problem and needs adjustment from Nextel's end. But get the Curve, it will absolutely topple anything the 7520 could do.

Good luck! call customer care before anything, they can probably help

I recommend getting the 8350i, but you also need to understand that iDEN is dying. Sprint is not focused on expanding iDEN service, so unless you need Direct Connect, please consider switching to the CDMA side.
