Default I recently purchased a "new" curve on ebay...any place to get actual new phones?

Long story short. I bought a new phone on ebay. It turned out to not be new, and the seller sent me a replacement that he promised would be new. The replacement died within hours. I got a refund from this ordeal.

I am looking for a brand new alltel curve. Is there anywhere online I can get one of these?

Alltel (or your phone company of choice). Anywhere else, there are no guarantees that it's not refurbished or that any warranties will be honored. Sometimes saving a few bucks is not worth it.

You can post a "Want To Buy" in the Buy/Sell/Trade forum here, or search for one listed for sale. The forums at CrackBerry are also a good resource. Look for a seller with feedback and a decent post count to help* insure against fraud.

*nothing guarantees complete safety, but a forum member with a history on that forum is most likely not a scammer. The guys with one or two posts only should be approached with caution however.
