I already read the FAQs on this but the seller I am contemplating on buying from has a large stock of these phones and says "Since we drop ship and have over 500 of most phones in stock, it is not possible to know which phone you'd get and therefore not possible to send you an actual ESN. We GUARANTEE all phones will activate with CLEAR ESN's so you need not worry!".
I don't know if it's me, but when people add that 'you don't have to worry', it makes me wonder, heh. So, I asked if the ESN turns out NOT to be clear will I get a replacement phone...is that a good question to ask them, what do you guys think?
Oh and also, the one I'm interested in is new but I always wondered about 'refurbished' phones, are they any good? Or is it more of taking a risk?
