Default North American Dialing

Is there a way to enable North American Dialing on a BlackBerry.
Instead of having phone numbers displayed as 5555555555 I would like to have them displayed as 555-555-5555 because its easier on the eyes.

If you enter the number in your Contacts as 555-555-5555, it will dial it, or as (555)555-5555, either way. You just have to enter the dashes or parentheses.

North American dialing is actually only the 10 digits, the dashes or () have nothing to do with it, those are just personal preferences to the user.

I prefer to have my phone numbers listed as (555) 555-5555 because it makes them easier to read (probably only because I'm accustomed to it). The only way I've found to do it automatically, is to edit the numbers in Outlook and then re-sync. So, if I enter it in the BB, eventually, I go into Outlook and edit the phone number (just by putting cursor in the number field entering space, then backspace and leave the field - Outlook then formats it.)

You can enter ( ) and - on the BB itself in phone number fields without using Alt.

I know you can actually do this on the BB. But if you just save the numbers from incoming calls, etc. (as I am prone to do), then it's easier (at least for me) to edit them in Outlook when I notice I have several. I live with it if it's only one or two.
