Exclamation password keeper

Please Login to Remove!

i had a user forgot their password. now we cant access the bb to backup all the info.
i tried outlook but it wont synchronize, because it got password protection.
is there any other way to bypass the password keeper to backup user info?

Are you using a BES? If so, you can go onto the BES and reset a BlackBerry password there.

I have heard that BES 4.0 does allow for a password push. In the past forgetting your device password = total loss because you had to wipe the unit and reload everything to get it back.

BES 4.0 only has an option for activation password. not the password keeper.

how do i find that?

I have not actually attempted to do it, though I have heard of the password push, and you are correct in stating that enterprise activation wont help you here. I am not aware of just how to make it happen from the server, usually I just wipe out the device.
I think the push might only be available with MDS 4 though...

On the BES, you right click on the user account and left click on IT admin then left click on Set Password and Lock. This will bring up a window allowing you to enter a new password that you will send to the device 'over the air'. The device must have wireless enabled for this to work. The device will receive 'accept over the air password' which the user will accept. Then they can unlock as normal using the sent password. hope that helps.
