Default How to check my corporate BB provider?

Please Login to Remove!

I just received a 7290 corporate phone. There isn't any decals or anything to tell me what provider it is linked to.

How do I check the provider?

Thanks!

In main screen go to Options --> choose Network, and it should tell you there.

Generally when you restart a BlackBerry the carrier branding "splash screen" comes up. Try popping out the battery and see what it tells you.

Options / Network will show you what network you are currently registered to; 99% of the time that is the carrier, but it is not 100% foolproof. Last week in Las Vegas, the network (accurately) showed Cingular but my BB provider was T-Mobile. I was roaming because T-Mobile does not have a network there.

No logo on restart after battery removed! No identifyable markings on the SIM card or inside where the battery is. Just a plain SIM card with ID numbers on it.

And my corporate plan is a U.S. based BB... I'm currently in Canada so it shows me Rogers in the network. But it's a U.S. number from a U.S. provider. So I can't tell! ack! Help me! hehe

Pop out the battery and look at the SIM card.

I already did that. No markings of any kind other than the ID tag. It's like a blank SIM card! Ack.

Did some sleuthing :P I think I figured it out. Checked my SMS settings on the device, it has a service center # of +19703769301. Yahoo search found a message regarding Cingular changing it's service center # to the above!

I guess it's Cingular. Thanks all.
