I want my e-mails and texts separated and I found that setting and did so.

However, when I go to my messages I want it to show my SMS messages and it shows my emails. I'd like my SMS messages in my "messages" since I can see my e-mails under their respective icons on the home screen.

I tried going to view folder > SMS Inbox and that shows everything fine until I back out of it and go into another application. Then when I go back to my messages, it resets back to showing my e-mails in there.

How can I make it to automatically show only my SMS inbox when I click messages?

If it matters I'm using a Curve 8330 on Verizon.

you cant.
message collects all message types when the setting you found is combined.
when seperate, you need to use the sms/mms folder to view JUST sms/mms.
messages will always show emails when setting is seperate.

as message collects all emails, most people hide the seperate your.name@domain email folder.

So there's no way at all to have an SMS-only inbox?

Messages > Options > General Options > Email & SMS = Separate. That will give you an SMS only icon.

You said you seperated email and sms.
this means you go the SMS/MMS folder.
This is where you view SMS/MMS messages.

You cannot have the MESSAGES icon to display ONLY SMS.
