I've just 'upgraded' by 9000 Bold to latest version. First thing I noticed was that nothing whatsoever seemed to have changed after taking nearly an hour to download and upgrade. I have now just done my first synch since upgrade and all OutLook 2007 calendar data apart from 4 recent entries has gone from my PC. It is still on the BB but it wont reinstall back onto the the PC. It looks as if BB has created 2 calendar backups: calendar & calendar -all. 'Calendar' contains the 4 items mentioned, 'calendar - all' contains the rest but wont synch.
Well apart from being a total waste of time downloading an update with no signifcant improvement, wiping out all my buisness appointments is not my idea of an upgrade
the improvement is such things like battery life, improving how the chips inside the phone work for better signal/bluetooth/wi-fi.
also clears up any bug related issues with applications etc.
just because you dont see anything different on the screens doesnt mean it was significant.
also, when OS 5 is released, you will notice a difference as it has improved graphics.

just checked calendar options and its showing 4, 1 default and 1 for each email address. The problem isn't that I can't see my calendar data on the BB (its all there), its just that I can't synch it back to the PC. Can I force a synch of all the BB data back to the PC?
it will force all your calendar entries to the device default, setting all your events in one calendar/place this way when you sync all you events are included.

Just think about how far BlackBerries have come from then till now... And what else is coming.
You could also try remapping the sync options in Desktop Mgr; I had a similar problem last week when I upgraded. Alternatively, if you want to force the BB data onto your PC, reconfigure Sync Configuration as unidirectional device -> PC. One or both of these options should help. Frustrating though...
If you need clarification do a search under my user ID and you'll see the threads
One more thing, IF you try "unidirectional sync" and it works, don't forget to reset it back to bidirectional afterwards, otherwise you'll lose everything you subsequently add to your PC Cal. Another pet peeve of mine. The BB Desktop should have a quick-view summary of your current settings on the actual main Sync page.

The OP mentions our his calendar events are spread across multiple calendars on his BB, you can't change which device calendar you sync via the Desktop Manager.
