Red face Old emails delivered again

Please Login to Remove!

Here is an interesting problem for the BB-Gurus.
Sometimes the BB server will send me numerous random old messages from previous months that I have already read and/or deleted. This usually happens several hours after I have re-initialized one of my email accounts.
Is this normal or weird?

Are those emails marked as not read on the server? I'm guessing that they are.

I'm sure some had been read before being deleted because I recognized the content when opening them; but, when they arrived, they were all marked as unread. Interestingly they had their original send dates going back several months.

This has happened to many of my users when the emails exist in their Inbox after initializing. Doesn't matter if they've been read or not.

Moving the content out of the Inbox and into other folders prevents it from doing so in the future.

That is odd then. My BB inboxes had all been emptied.
