I'm using Empower BES Mailbox to separate my corporate e-mails from personal. Up until yesterday, every time I received a new BES e-mail, a red star would appear next to the BES Mailbox icon, in addition to the "new mail" envelope. Now this red star, which easily tells me which of my inboxes have mail, is gone. Anyone have any ideas why this would happen? The only thing I changed yesterday was stopping the sync between Outlook contacts and my BB so that personal contacts weren't transfered to Outlook on my work desktop, which shouldn't have affected the BES Mailbox. Help, please!

I read on another forum that doing a soft restart (leaving the power on, then pulling the battery for a minute or so) will restore the red star.

As a sidenote, that fixes most BlackBerry glitches!

If not, are you still receiving the e-mails instantly on both your BlackBerry and in Outlook?
