Default Noob, Newb, Help finding the right Blackberry

Hello all!

My name is Steve. I was led to these forums by a friend of mine. I will be starting a new company soon and I am looking into getting a Blackberry + T-Mobile data plan. I have a Verizon phone but, I don't want to bother with their data service.

I was looking at the 7290, is there anything coming out I should wait for? What are the general opinions of this BB?

Thanks in advance!

-Steve

The 8700 series blackberry is coming soon. I am not sure when T Mobile will launch it but Cingular will have it as of the 28th of November if I'm not mistaken. There is also the 7100 series (not new) but if you want something that's more phone like and has a built in speakerphone; however you don't get the same keyboard as the 7200 series. That's why I went back to the 7290. There is alot of info posted on the 8700 on the forum boards maybe you want to look into that with a plan from Cingular. (or is called AT&T again... I don't know :p )

Dude, mess with the VZW data plan. The v4.0.2 firmware upgrade for the 7250 was just released and allows your mobile to have EVDO capabilities at no additional cost. I would seriously consider staying where you are as far as carriers are concerned and going with the 7250. I have been using the device since its release back in February and love the hell out of it.

By the way, I think the 7290 and 7250 are pretty damn close to each other, very similar. Perhaps someone else in the community can provide some specifics.
