Angry How to download google mail application without a browser?

Please Login to Remove!

For various reasons I cannot get the browser working.
I only want to use the Blackberry to get gmail.
Is there a place on the internet where I could download the google mail program and then install it into my Blackberry via the USB connection?

Do you have a BB data plan? if not, it isn't going to do much good even if you did get it.

I am not 100% certain but I think all of the Google installs are OTA.

I don't have a data plan as I don't get enough emails to make it worthwhile. Also service provider coverage is incomplete where I live that I take along 3 SIM cards to get network access. (5 cell companies in our country!)
Does anyone know the filename or where the file is stored so I could download it?

I don't have a Blackberry data plan is what I should have said. I do have a regular (third party) data plan where they charge about half cent per KB.

I saw a post once about getting Firefox or Internet Explorer to act like a Nokia and download a file. Not sure if there's a way to get it to pretend to be a BB. But maybe try installing the Blackberry emulator software and see if you can get the browser to work.

Other than that, try the forums at Google. Someone there might be able to point to a link.

I tried entering the link to download the file directly and it doesn't work from a regular browser.
