Default Anyone a current T mobile Customer? Need help... Desperate...

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,
I bought a 7230 bb on Ebay, supposedly it was unlocked, however it was not. Its a Tmobile device and I am on Cingular. I heard it's very easy for someone to get a unlock code for a Tmobile BB if you are a curretn customer. Can someone help me out? I don't have the money to pay $100 to get it unlocked. Somebody please help me

Welcome to the world of purchasing a BB on eBay. Seeing TMo unlocks require a TMo customer to be in good standing and one code per yr. and one device you may be hard pressed to find someone to give one up? Make yourself familiar with Bongo Wireless www.bongowireless.com it may be your only option. Next best option list the BB on eBay in hopes of making your money back and purchase a device your certian is for your network.

I mean there ahs to be somebody out there willing to help me out, I would do it for somebody else. I just think that $120 is a little too steep. I already tried to return it. Said they thought it was unlocked. If you can only unlock one device a year, how many devices do you unlock in a year. There has to be somebody out there willing to use their one unlock does for a poor smuck like me, I can pay, but not $120.

Well I bought my (7100) unlocked already, so I wouldn't have a use for my once a year T-Mobile unlock code. Issue being, I do belive you have to physically bring the phone to them and they will then do it for you.

I don't think that they just give you an unlock number becuase mine came with a sticker and code saying if you for some reason need to unlock *THIS* (the one I bought, 7100) phone, use this code for the phone.

No, they will send you an email with the unlock code, however, the code they send you will be for the device on the account. Not sure how you would get a code for another device unless you switched to his device temporarily.

From what I read, they dont care what phone you are using, just that you are a current Tmobile customer within good standings...
"andrebsd", since yours is already unlocked, can you do it for me? please?

I can try, but i'm with soapm on the device thing, it just makes sence that they would send me a 7100t code since thats the device I have listed under my subscription.

I'll just email them and see what they can do, I can just tell them that I have two phones, the 7100t and a 7230 but need the 7230 unlocked. Possibly they will give me the 7230 code then. If not i'll have an extra 7100t code for whoever the heck wants it, as I'd never use that.
