Default Storm Loosing BIS/BES Connectivity

Please Login to Remove!

I have a Storm on VZW.

Every so often, and for no apparent reason, I loose my BIS and BES connectivity. I can usually restore it my closing all connections and then restarting all connections. Every so often, I need to pull the battery to restore the connection. During this period I still maintain Voice and SMS capabilities.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Marc

Are you getting 1X or 1XEV in capital or lowercase letters when you're experiencing this?

Lowercase letters = no data connection (voice and sms only)

Uppercase letters = data connection.

What OS are you running on your Storm? You can find out by going to Options > About (3rd line down).

4.7.0.148

Never had this issue before the upgrade.

It seems like when I go into a bad area and loose the data connection, it does not come back on it's own when I return to a better signal area.

I have the EXACT same problem after upgrading to 148. I turn off then turn on my mobile network connection and messages start flooding in. I have not looked at the case of the letters during the problem, but won't have to wait long to see.

Are there any ideas about the cause?
