Default Parsing Errors in 7105t t-mobile BB Email

Please Login to Remove!

I have a t-mobile 7105t that I have been using successfully with my Outlook Web Access email account for about a month. Beginning last week, about 80 percent of my email began giving the error "Error in parsing this message. Couldn't display the body part!!!" on the handheld.

I contacted t-mobile support, and was eventually referred on to RIM support, which sent numerous test messages in different formats to my account. We found that only pure text email made it through successfully, and that all RTF and HTML email gave the above error on the handheld - all messages are fine in Outlook.

RIM was supposed to work on this and call me back the next day. It's now a week later, and there's been no word from RIM. Am I the only one having such problems? Are t-mobile and RIM's tech support always this bad?

Note that I manage the Microsoft Exchange server that OWA is running on, and no software changes have occurred on the system between the time email worked fine and when it quit.

Thanks for any enlightenment you can provide.

TMO has made some upgrades on thier web client system. I would get your case number and call RIM back. Push them a little, they will fix it for ya.

We are getting the same error message at my firm (22 laywers having same trouble). I opened a case with RIM 3 business days ago. Nothing yet. All they tell me is that other people are having the same problem. We are also using OWA with Ex 2003 SP2

Thanks for the input. My OWA server is currently running Small Business Server 2003 with Exchange 2003 SP1, not SP2. Because nothing has changed on this server since the beginning of my Blackberry "experience", where it was working OK, then suddenly quit, I believe that something has changed on either RIM or t-mobile's end.

It also sounds like my problems began about the same time as those in the law firm.

do you guys have antivirus programs running for your exchange mail servers?

as that might interfere with message polling, and that could effect it to give that error email message.
