Suddenly this morning all of my custom profiles were gone and the standard profiles were all reset to the default tones and settings. I haven't done anything with the OS or individual modules. The only two things I did yesterday were unsubscribing to Accuweather websignals and loading, trying, then deleting the AP application.

Anyone have an idea why that would happen?

Thanks

The same thing happened to me when I removed the WSJ News Reader. It also happens to me every time I upgrade the OS. I have never been able to recover my custom profiles from backups.

Is the "AP application" the AP Mobile News? That is what did it. When you uninstall it, it trashed your profile settings. I learned that the hard way about 8-10 months ago. Really pi$$ed me off, and I had to go through and set up everything again.

It's documented in this thread: AP Mobile News Network Premieres

I still don't understand WHY the profile settings and custom profiles are not backed up so that you could recover them from the backups.

Yep, it was the AP Mobile News app I downloaded from mobile.blackberry.com. That sucks. Oh well.

Thanks
