Default blackberry bluetooth. Help?

Hello ,
i purchased a blackberry 7290 from a guy off ebay , he gave me the password to it so i can work it but what doesnt work is the bluetooth, it says everytime i try to make myself "descoverable" that "the discoverable setting has been overrideen by your system administrator" . is there any way i can fix this because i use bluetooth and i kinda need it. can anyone help? i downloaded a desktop manager too.

Sounds like it has an IT Policy on it.
Look in BlackBerry FAQ - BlackBerryFAQ and find the thread on how to remove and IT Policy.

when it asks me to wipe it clean , how do i do it?

Before u do anything, make sure u do a backup thru desktop manager, then go to options-security-general settings, hit ur app button and there will be the wipe handheld option... Good luck!!

On older BlackBerrys, like the 7290, doing a security wipe does NOT wipe out the IT Policy. You need to remove it manually, as described here - Remove IT Policy - BlackBerryFAQ

ooh , im stuck , i cant wipe it clean , it doesnt need updating and i cant find the option to wipe it =\ . help?
