Is it possible to make a number appear on your phone that didn't actually call you?

Unfortunately it is possible to see a number on any caller Id that is not real. Number spoofing is done by telemarketers all the time. As for making one appear to have called the phone, unless you have the necessary Cell test equipment, no.
