Default Auto Text First Name

Hi guys,

Wondering if you can help,

Im trying to send a group birthday sms invite message to friends in my address book and i would like to add their first name to make it personalized.

so is there a way to do it using auto text? i.e hi %firstname, etc...

nope.
if you send a sms to multiple people it will be the same message sent to all.

there MUST be a way, just the same way that 3rd party applications pull the first name from the database for use in their applications. there must be a way for auto text to pull the first name for use in the sms. the date and time can be pulled in real time from the db so why not address book information..

any programmers wanna chime in?!!

An email, maybe, but an sms no.
sending 1 typed sms to say 10 contacts, is stil gonna cost the same of 10 sms's, but make the process maybe a little faster.
just type out the sms, select and copy.
send the first one to whoever with their name, paste the text to a new sms, change the name to second person etc etc.
