Default Need Help Accessing My Father's Blackberry

Please Login to Remove!

To my sorrow, my father recently passed away. I need to access his 8130 series BlackBerry in order to attain necessary contact information for the purposes of notifying his friends, etc but his phone is password protected. I've tried contacting his carrier AT&T who referred me to BlackBerry technical support. The BlackBerry technical support only seems to service subscribers though. I have the legal documentation of next of kin, etc, I just need to speak to somebody that can help me access his information.

Can someone please help me? Thanks.

I'm sorry to hear about your father. Unfortunately, there is NO way to bypass the security of a BlackBerry. No back doors or other ways in. Neither AT&T nor RIM can give you a master unlock code. Type the wrong password 10 times and the BlackBerry will wipe itself clean.

Wirelessly posted (Its All About the U!)

If he didn't backup the device, you will need to consider another means of getting the info.

I'm sorry for the loss of your father. If he backed up his device to his computer, there is a program that can read the back up .IPD files.
Google abc amber blackberry converter. If he synced his BlackBerry contacts with Outlook, you could find them in Outlook.
