is there any benefit to turning our BB's off each night? Or is leaving it on 24/7 ok?

I leave mine on 24/7. I don't have to re-boot unless I have installed an app that requires it. As long as you clear your browser history, and keep your msg boxes clean, meaning sync your e-mails and sms's then delete the ones you no longer need off the device. Rember to CLOSE programs, not just minimize them, really never need to turn it off.

I leave mine on 24/7. But really the only advantage is that your battery will last longer between charges. I charge mine every night anyway (I'm a fairly heavy user). So to me it makes no difference.

Mine is set to auto-off at 11pm and auto-on again in the morning. I keep mine by my bed, and to be honest, I'd rather not irradiate myself unnecessarily.

I use the auto on/off feature as mentioned by Paul above. Goes off at 11 PM and on at 7 AM weekdays, on at 9 AM on the weekend.

Saves battery power and keeps me from looking at it at all hours of the night.

I use my Bold as a pager for my job, and I am on call 24/7, so I leave it on 24/7.

Since I am a very heavy user, my battery needs charging every day, anyway.

I never turn mine off. I charge in a charging pod every night. I do a reset every 4 or 5 days.

I do the same. I have it on vibrate and it's a pretty good alarm. I have it on the night stand and it vibrates several times from overnight emails.

I also don't turn mine off because its my only phone. I don't have a landline. If someone needs me in an emergency, or if I have an emergency I need the phone to be instantly available. If I have a fire, or something I can't wait on it to come on. I put the phone in sleep profile and the only thing that works is the phone. I don't get bothered by sms and e-mails during the night. I put it the holster and it goes into stand by mode which uses very little to no battery life. I keep my memory cleaned and have no problems. I've had this phone over a year now and it still performs very well. I'm also still on the battery that came with the phone, so in my case leaving it on hasn't really damaged the battery.

I plug mine in to charge each night, and set the profile to "Phone Only". Everybody knows not to call after 10:00 PM unless it's an emergency.

The only time I ever turn mine Off is on a plane flight when I'm asked to by the flight attendants - otherwise it's on 24/7. Sometimes I will turn all alerts off if I don't want it to disturb me with tones or vibrations.

On a Blackberry, Off isn't really Off like it is on other phones. It turns off all the radios and (I suspect) slows down the processor (but doesn't stop it - some things still function). The only way to really stop all functions on a Blackberry is to pull the battery.
