just bought brand new blackberry bold a month ago
and paid $500 for it, all my friends were envious and one admitted that my phone cost more than his desktop computer
a week ago I couldn't hear my ringtone and of course I reset all the volume levels
turns out that the phone had a speaker problem and I switched it out with another one at ATT warranty office
this replaced phone lasted for 3 days and now I can't get a signal - no bars - just the letters in red SOS - this last episode happened on a weekend and I couldn't go back to replace the phone again
like anybody who needs a phone for his business I had to go out and pay for a go phone to get me through the weekend - $40 and it works great
it cost less than 1/10 of the bold and I am having no problems
oh well, I am not a tech person but I do like to use my phone for email but lesson learned - it just amazes me that a company could put out such a shoddy product - charge outrageous price- and nobody is letting others know
I did my research on websites about reviews on this product and they were all positive - well my recommendation is too stay way clear of this product
and I will continue to post whatever future nonsense that I have to deal with owning my new blackberry bold

Wirelessly posted

You got a bad one. If the product was that shoddy, they wouldn't be number one. Sorry to hear about your issues however, hope you get a better one next time. I've had my bold for about 9 months now and I've dropped it about 10 times and its still going great with no issues at all. I also know persons who have their bold and have no issues.

Have you stopped for a minute to take a deep breath and consider that "nobody is letting other know" because there isn't anything generally wrong with the device. Bad devices exist, from RIM, Apple, Microsoft, etc., but this isn't a mass coverup of a horrible product.

Why? Does it make you feel better? You got a bad product. Take it back. Get another one, or move on. Again, stop for just a minute and consider that your experiences don't mimic the experiences of the masses. If they did, then RIM would have been out of business long ago.

Sorry you got a lemon or two, but there are plenty here that can counter your experience with positive ones. Does that mean that we are all wearing rose colored glasses, or that maybe we are all making up lies about our experiences to further the conspiracy?

Just a thought...

We love our blackberrys, our family has 3 various series. Sometimes when you are having problems all you need to do is reboot--either turn the phone off and restart or take the battery out with the phone still on. I have a few problems off and on but that usually fixes everything. Hope this helps.
