Unhappy No sound with regular headphones?

So basically I can only get sound through headphones that have a mic channel on the jack? Kinda depressing, I just d/l Pandora and was gonna go cruise around listening to it but it won't output into a normal 3.5 jack, only my (crappy) supplied headphones work.

Yea, the 8900's headphone jack sucks. The supplied headphones have no bass.

I can hear with a regular stereo headphone, but any movement of the plug causes crackling or audio cut outs.

Also, it's bluetooth audio capabilities are worthless with the OS that came with the phone. And, I don't know if upgrading will fix it, and I don't want to upgrade and risk losing things if it won't fix my problem. I.E. audio drop outs when listening to converted DVD movies thru a stereo bluetooth headphone.

Well that's just stupid. Thank god for Radio Shack, I'm just gonna hack these headphones, maybe even keep the mic and just leave it in my car.
