Default some help please

I'm sure many of you knowledgable people who own blackberries can help me with this question. I want to surprise my husband with one but don't know which one of the many kind would be appropriate for him. Something without too many bells and whistles. I know he would need it to e-mail and receive e-mails. I really don't know much about what a blackberry is. Is there a simplified site that I can look out to get an idea of the prices? Any suggestions about what kind is the best for its price without any unnecessary add ons would be appreciated.
Thank you, Paula

Hello Paula,

You came to the right site, but left out an important question. The question being what service provider do you use or want to use in your area.

I use the 7100i with Nextel. The 7100i is a great device in my opinion, but Nextel is expensive and limited to certain areas.

I know if you go with T-Mobile, the upside is the 1 year contract and the device is usesable overseas as well. If you choose them, remember the 7105t is better then the 7100t, they made some changes to the screen to make it better.

Cingular is the only US carrier that will have the new 8700c, check thaqt forum out for information on that.

Some people dont like the 7100 series because they are smaller, but I personally love it, and can whip out messages fast on it now.

Good luck
